And here is a link to an essay by Michael Kinsley, a well-known American journalist (he used to be the editor of the online magazine Slate) defending austerity policies (cutting government deficits) and criticizing Paul Krugman for his views. As you'll see, Kinsley also reviews the "How Austerity Kills" article we read last week.
