Please read this opinion piece from May 2012 by New York Times columnist Paul Krugman (a Nobel-prize winning economist). Then write a summary of Krugman's points and your reaction to them on paper. We'll discuss the article and your thoughts in class tomorrow.
The article "Dimon's Déjà Vu Debacle" is talking about that we need stronger financial regulation. He bring back the speech of Republican nominee at that time Mr. Romney. The speech tell that the mistake was mot America fault and the shareholders, owners should take responsibility of the results that they have. The writer also mentioned that Mr. Romney whole candidacy is based on the claim that his experience will fix things, but he remained clueless with his speeches. the writer said is implying that such an investment should not be pailed out. The risk that individuals can take it is different from a big one. The taxpayers money should not be involved in miss-management investment.
